Scallop Mug - Sky and Sea

$40.00

These mugs are created by using the slip casting method whereas liquid clay is poured into vintage plaster molds. After a time, the excess liquid clay is poured out, leaving a casting of the mug. The mold I’m using was created in the 1970s by Duncan and is no longer in production.

Sky and Sea glaze is created by using a combination of three glazes together to create an effect that reminds me of the point where sky meets sea. The blues and whites and beige evokes the foaming sea and the sandy beach.

The scallop mug holds the perfect 8oz latte and fits into a standard car cup holder.

Because of the way these mugs are created, they are available PREORDER only and will take approximately 2-4 weeks to complete.
